Like a love relationship, your jewelry needs care and maintenance. If you love your Kabbalou jewelry and want to wear it every day, we recommend that it requires a monthly clean.
Read below our recommendations and options on how to preserve their beauty over time.
AT HOME
Dust, dirt, skin, and skincare products will cause wear and tear and in the long run, damage to the jewelry. Simply put your piece of jewelry in a lukewarm bath with a regular dish wash (detergent-free) and water. Leave it overnight and rinse it the next morning with hot water and let it dry. You can use a soft brush to clean it.
PROFESSIONALLY
Jewelers use ultrasonic cleaners with high-frequency sound waves and chemicals which create bubbles that latch onto the dirt on the diamond. The high-frequency sound waves pull the dirt away from the stone and bring them up to the surface. When the whole piece of jewelry is being cleaned at once, the jeweler usually puts it under a strong blast of steam in order to wash off the dirt and grime and bring back the jewelry's shine.
GEMS & DIAMONDS
Make sure to check the settings of precious stones every second month. High-quality jewelry should be good for life but due to wear and tear a prong setting (where the stone is held by little claws) can damage over time. By checking it you can prevent losing your precious beloved gem. If you have your jewelry professionally cleaned, ask your jeweler to check it for you.
